Visited Bossier yesterday scouting locations for 2022. First was the Bossier City Liberty Garden\911 Memorial. Across the street was the SAR Galvez Chapter Bicentennial Memorial. I am still seeking volunteers to clean the Patriot William Davis grave site and join the Color Guard.

Picked up a new accessory for my colorguard uniform. It is a Disney made prop for the 1954 TV series Davy Crockett starring Fess Parker. This is an original and I would like to think it was used by Fess Parker. I will be hand loading blank 45 Long Colt and Colt 4570 brass cartridges with f or 2f black powder for noise and smoke.

The militia of the frontier dressed much to suit their needs. Leather hunting shirt with leggings were common. The accessories varied but this soldier was well equipped.
